Hello! My name is Hilla, and I'm an (soon) 18-year-old student from Finland. I’m known for being friendly, hard-working, and proactive. In my free time, I enjoy staying active by going to the gym, but I especially love spending quality time with my family and friends. I am very excited about the opportunity to become part of a host family, share my culture, and learn all about yours! I would describe myself as a very positive, energetic, and encouraging person. I am a true social person who loves meeting new people and learning about different cultures. One of my favorite ways to show care for others is through cooking and baking, it’s a way for me to create joy and comfort for the people around me.

I am very active and enjoy jogging and yoga in my free time, which helps me stay energetic and focused. What makes me special is my combination of a warm, empathetic nature and a very strong sense of responsibility. I have served as a support student and a tutor at my school, which has taught me how to be a positive role model and a patient listener.

I also have a background in professional environments, having worked in hospitality and property maintenance. This has made me very proactive and independent; I’m not afraid to roll up my sleeves and help with housework or any practical tasks. I always aim to take everyone into account and make sure that the people around me feel happy and safe.

I want to be an au pair because I am deeply passionate about internationality and experiencing new cultures firsthand. My main goal is to improve my language skills, especially my Spanish and English, by immersing myself in a local family's daily life. I love gaining new experiences that challenge me and help me grow as a person. For me, being an au pair is the perfect way to combine my love for working with children with my desire to see the world and build meaningful connections with people from different backgrounds.
