Introduction
I am a highly experienced nanny with 8 years of experience working with toddler twins, providing infant child care, working in a big family of five children, and providing a special needs approach to the autistic child. I'm experienced working with children from 3 months to 10 years old. I'm looking for a future family where I could work full-time in a live-in or live-out position so I can fully commit (long-term) and give my expertise in the best way possible.
My journey as a nanny started seven and a half years ago during my college days, and ever since, I have felt like that was my life calling, which I want to continue to nurture. I provide children with care and development through applying the Montessori hands-on philosophy, which strengthens the child's self-confidence and builds his independence by giving the child an incentive at the right moment in life. I always engage children in conversation to determine their personality types and create corresponding care plans, as every child is an individual, so the approach for every child should be different.
In the past, I have trained in athletics, basketball, ballet, volleyball, and riding. I'm a confident swimmer and skier, and in my free time, I like to go to the gym, roller skate, and play tennis. I would say that I'm quite sporty, and with children, I enjoy spending a lot of time on long walks and in nature (if a child has a bicycle, we take it with us) and watching children connect with it because, in practice, this has proved to be an excellent way for children to connect with themselves (they become more psychologically stronger, more stable, and more relaxed).
On the other hand, I encourage their freedom of expression, creativity, and motor skills through drawing and painting, reading, assembling wood and Lego sculptures, playing find the differences in pictures, drawing geometric bodies, learning numbers and colors in creative ways, and properly pronouncing letters, words, and sentences (child-appropriate age activities).
Some of my career's key responsibilities and achievements are:
- occasionally having a sole-charge role for 1-2 weeks for three children (absent parents due to private or business obligations)
- introduced three 5-month-old and 6-month-old boys to eating solid foods and assisted them with their transitions
- worked with a family of 5 children, including going on two ski holidays, one summer vacation, and a weekend trip to Milan
- Provided daily care for 3-year-old twin brothers (improved their talking skills by using speech exercises given by the speech and language pathologist).
- provided part-time daily care for the 8-year-old autistic boy
The ultimate goal is to help children go through their milestones and realize their full potential by giving them a gentle but challenging and safe upbringing.
