Introduction
I come from a loving and supportive family. I am an only child. My parents have always encouraged me to be responsible, open-minded, and kind. I also have a strong circle of friends who describe me as loyal, understanding, and always ready to help. These relationships have helped shape who I am today and taught me how important patience, communication, and empathy are.
I would describe myself as a calm person. I tend to be shy at first but once I get to know people I get more comfortable to be more talkative and energetic. I have always truly enjoyed being around children because I feel like our energies match. I’m playful, imaginative, and full of energy, so I naturally enjoy the things that many kids enjoy—like watching animated movies, playing games, and getting involved in creative activities. But I also know when it’s time to be responsible and set boundaries.
I am pretty flexible, very organized and calm under pressure, which helps me handle unexpected situations.
I’m a naturally curious person and open to new experiences.
I have completed high school alongside 6 years of English studies. I am currently an english as a second language instructor. Education has always been an important part of my life, my mom is a Portuguese teacher and I love sharing knowledge and supporting other in their learning and development.
I also have classical ballet and contemporary dance training, and used to be a dance teacher before I started focusing mostly in languages.
I have plans to start a career as a translator, so I have been trying to learn and be in contact with other languages as well.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, dancing and trying out some crafting. I also enjoy spending time outdoors and exploring nature and cultural places. I love being creative, whether it’s through writing, dance or making up fun games (specially mixing up learning with fun). I also love anything related to arts. These hobbies help me stay balanced and are often activities I like to share with the kids I care for.
My native language is Portuguese and I currently have C1 level in english. I started french and spanish classes a few months ago, but there's still a long way to go. I’m always open to improving my language skills and would love to learn more of your language while also teaching your children some of mine if you’d like. Language is such a fun way to connect and learn from each other!
I have been working with kids and teenagers since 2019. I’ve spent a lot of time with smaller children, both in my family and in other settings. When I worked as a dance teacher, my classes included ages from 3-5 and 6-8. During my esl classes, I have been working with all ages for years, including adults and young adults.
I always try to create a nurturing, respectful environment in my classes.
In my family, I did some babysitting as well (people tend to ask me for help since I enjoy doing it) preparing meals, helping with schoolwork, and taking them to school.
I want to become an au pair because I believe that living with a host family will allow me to grow as a person, become more independent, and see the world from a new perspective. I’m looking for a meaningful experience that I’ll carry with me for life.
I believe this experience will help me grow both personally and professionally. I want to build meaningful connections, improve my language skills, and contribute positively to your family’s daily life. Being an au pair is more than just a job—it’s an exchange of values and mutual respect.
I hope to be welcomed into a kind and respectful family that communicates openly, where I can be valued and trusted as a professional. I’m looking forward to sharing daily life with you, supporting your family routines, and being a good role model to your children. I also understand the importance of respecting boundaries and contributing positively to your home, so I expect to receive the same treatment during our interactions. Being an au pair comes with responsibilities, and I’m ready to take them on with enthusiasm and dedication.
I have first aid knowledge. I am flexible, open to feedback, and committed to making this a great experience for both your family and myself.
I'll be happy to adapt to your family’s routines and preferences and will do my best to integrate into your lifestyle while maintaining a healthy balance of privacy and engagement.
