Hello! My name is Maria Luisa, I am 20 years old and I come from Brazil. I am currently in my third year of Nursing school at University. I am a caring, responsible, patient, and dedicated person who truly enjoys being around children.
Since I was very young, I have always been surrounded by kids and caring for them has naturally become part of my life. I have experience with children of different ages, from babies to older kids. I took care of a baby from 9 months old until he turned 2 years old, and recently I supported a mother throughout her pregnancy and still help care for her and her 3-month-old baby. I also look after a 10-year-old boy on weekends, and I have cared for him since he was 7.
Because of my Nursing studies and my mother’s profession as an early childhood educator, I learned a lot about children’s development, communication, and emotional care. I love encouraging creative and educational activities away from screens, such as drawing, storytelling, music, games, and outdoor activities.
I also have a driver’s license, enjoy spending time with animals, and love learning about new cultures and experiences. I would describe myself as calm, open-minded, affectionate, and very committed to everything I do.
I want to become an Au Pair because I truly love caring for children and I believe this experience will help me grow personally and professionally while improving my English and experiencing a new culture.
