Kia Ora!

I'm Zara, a trained graphic designer originally from New Zealand, currently living in the Gold Coast, Australia.

Being the eldest of three sisters, I've been nurturing and caring for my younger siblings for as long as I can remember. My journey as a caregiver began at the age of 14 when I started babysitting, and I've continued to nanny while pursuing my academic endeavors.

My experiences extend beyond caregiving; I have a background in surf life-saving and a deep passion for water sports. For four years, I had the privilege of being a swimming instructor, teaching individuals from newborns to senior citizens. I also had the opportunity to work with children with intellectual and physical disabilities. Concurrently, I've worked as a support worker for a woman with Down syndrome, an experience that has reinforced my patience, empathy, and adaptability.

I am eager to blend my childcare expertise and diverse skill set into your family's daily life as an au pair. My education in visual communication design has equipped me with creative problem-solving abilities that I believe can make learning and playtime with your children both enriching and enjoyable.

Growing up in Mount Maunganui, surrounded by the beauty of nature, has instilled in me a profound love for the outdoors. I look forward to sharing this passion with your children, whether it's exploring the great outdoors, frolicking on the beach, or simply enjoying a day at the park.
