My name is Lisa. I am 43. I was a nanny for 4 years in my early 20s and I loved it. I moved away from it as I hoped to have my own children. I have been working in accounting the last 5 years, but it does not satisfy my sould the way working with children does. I love to travel and get to know about other countries. As I am looking for a change in occupation, I believe this could be a lovely way to get to know another county in an intimate way while covering my expenses and getting to spend time with kids.
I am warm, friendly, and have good common sense. Most of my experience has been with small children, infants to 4 years old. I have babysat older children at times as well. I like to read books, play games, sing songs and go to the park, and really anything that is spending time with kids. I would like to find a live-in position where I felt I was part of the family.
I am fluent in English, have passible Spanish, and am begining to learn Korean. I have taken First Aid and CPR in the past and will renew my certification again soon. I am also looking into taking class to get certified in teaching English as a second language. If your child is learning English, I can help. I am a good driver and happy to run errands or drive your child to different places.
I was an exchange student to the Philippines for a year in high school and loved it. I have also traveled to Latin America, China, the UK, and a little in France. Getting to know new places, people and cultures is a passion of mine.
I would be grateful for a little flexibility in my schedule to take a language class to become conversational in the language of my host country. Some days or weekends off to explore the country would be great too. I am adventurous and enjoy exploring, hiking, scuba diving and meeting new people.
I like to try and do new things.I can ride horses and motor cycles. I have studied herbal medicine, become a scuba diving instructor, and gone to school to be a bookkeeper. Taking care of children is still my favorite occupation so far.
