My name is Michelle and I prefer to be called Jynx. I am 18 years old and I grew up in Brookline Massachusetts. I am African American, Indian, and Cuban and I value cultural diversity and understanding. I have two siblings one older and one younger and we learned early on how to take care of ourselves and support one another. These experiences helped shape me into a responsible independent and compassionate person. In my personal time I enjoy photography which allows me to express creativity and capture meaningful moments. One of the main reasons I want to become an Au Pair is because I believe no child should ever feel like they have to fend for themselves. Growing up taught me how important stability and support are in a family. I want to be someone children can rely on while also giving parents the extra help they need to build a healthy balanced life with their kids. Being an Au Pair allows me to do meaningful work while making a real difference in a family’s daily life. A host family should host me because I am deeply compassionate and I truly care about the well being of children. I focus on creating a safe stable and supportive environment where kids can feel secure and confident. I am patient attentive and emotionally aware and I take responsibility seriously. I also enjoy creative activities such as photography which can be a fun and engaging way to connect with children. I qualify for the Au Pair position because of my real life caregiving experience. For the past few years I have helped care for my grandmother who has dementia which has taught me patience empathy and responsibility. I have also helped my younger brother with school and daily needs. Through caring for my family I have developed strong nurturing dependable and adaptable caregiving skills that directly apply to caring for children.
