Hi! My name is Alex, I am 19 years old, and I'd love to be your Au Pair. The primary reason I think I would be a good fit is mostly because I have experience taking care of children of all ages and how much I love to learn, spending time with kids, and also I love teaching others (whether it is something like a sport or a subject in school). Previously, I've worked as as baby sitter, house chores, and more day-to-days tasks with my family or while I'm volunteering. However, there are a few hobbies I do in my free time I love doing, like playing guitar (my favourite artist is Bruno Mars), painting, photography, sports (I played Soccer, Boxing, weightlifting and American Football), playing video games, taking walks, pretty much anything thats creative or outdoors related. The reason I am applying as an Au Pair, and the things I would be seeking from my host family, would be just learning about your culture while sharing my culture at the same time. Whether its a month or long term, I hope to have learned about a new culture, made memories with the family, learn a new language, and hopefully to have left a positive impact on my host family, good memories, and been a great help for them! The main reasons I picked the countries I listed is because of the architecture, language, people, music, art, history, practically every aspect has fascinated me since I was a kid. Also, another thing I love is food, so I would definitely love to show my host family the most exotic, never previously heard of, American foods like hot dogs and burgers?. All jokes aside, there are traditions, foods, and things I did as a kid I would love to show my host family! Furthermore, I am already trying to learn some customs of the countries/nationalities listed, as of right now I am actually learning German! I would like to use my experiences with Au Pairing to continue my studies from home and help navigate my me in a direction of what I would like to when I finish my studies, better understanding of the world, and just make memories I can forever cherish. There are only 2 existing problems however is (1) I do not have a valid passport BUT I am currently in the process of getting one and (2) I cannot afford the travel costs, and a little minor problem is language barriers (currently however I am making an effort to learn the language not just for Au Pairing but for the future as well since I like the language) Despite the first problem being solved soon (prior to the end of 2023) the second issue is one I would like to acknowledge to the host family ahead of time. Nonetheless, I would love to become your Au Pair because I enjoy spending time and am good with children, helping and getting close with the families, taking care of not just the responsibilities an Au Pair is supposed to do but having fun, making memories, and learning with my host family! ?
