Family's Introduction to Nanny
Our family lives on a beautiful private estate in Ohio, approximately one hour south of Cleveland and one hour west of Pittsburgh. The husband is American and the wife is Lithuanian. We have traveled extensively around the world and are now excited to be expecting our first child together this August.
We currently have a housekeeper, but we are specifically seeking someone who can become a dependable and positive part of our daily home life during this important new chapter. While childcare support will be needed once the baby arrives, the strongest focus of this role is meal preparation and household support throughout the remainder of the pregnancy, the postpartum months, and baby’s first year.
We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys cooking and is confident in the kitchen. Preparing healthy, nourishing, well-made meals for two adults twice daily, meal prepping, maintaining kitchen organization, and helping create a calm and supportive home environment are all very important to us. Pregnancy and postpartum nutrition are a major priority for our family.
The ideal candidate is mature, responsible, hardworking, organized, and takes pride in their work. A strong work ethic, professionalism, cleanliness, and the ability to notice what needs to be done without constant direction are extremely important qualities for this position. We value someone who is respectful, dependable, calm under pressure, and comfortable in a live-in family environment.
The mother-to-be’s first language is Lithuanian, and she also speaks Russian, so preference will be given to candidates who are comfortable speaking Russian as well.
This is a wonderful long-term opportunity for someone seeking a stable live-in position with a caring family. We are hoping to find someone who truly enjoys helping support a home and family during such a meaningful season of life. For the right candidate with excellent cooking and household skills, we are open to the position beginning as soon as possible.
Job Description
We are an American/Lithuanian family seeking an experienced, professional live-in nanny to join our home as we prepare to welcome our baby in August. We are looking for someone who is warm, nurturing, highly dependable, and passionate about newborn care, while also bringing a proactive, team-oriented approach to supporting a well-run household.
Fluency in ** Lithuanian or Russian ** is highly preferred, as Lithuanian is the mother's first language and she also speaks Russian. Candidates should also be able to speak and understand ** basic English ** to communicate effectively with the family and other household staff.
The ideal candidate will have extensive newborn and infant experience, a strong understanding of postpartum recovery, infant development, safe sleep practices, feeding routines, and age-appropriate developmental activities. We are looking for someone who can confidently support first-time parents, anticipate the baby's needs, and help establish healthy routines while creating a calm, loving, and organized environment.
While childcare is the primary focus of this position, the nanny will also assist with nursery organization, baby laundry, bottle preparation and sterilization, maintaining baby supplies, and other child-related household tasks. The ideal candidate should also be comfortable preparing simple, healthy meals when needed, assisting with light meal preparation, and helping maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
This is a live-in position, and we are looking for someone who is polished, discreet, respectful, emotionally mature, and comfortable becoming a trusted member of a family-oriented home. We value individuals who naturally notice what needs to be done, take initiative without constant direction, and take pride in maintaining high standards in both childcare and their work.

* Organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and highly dependable
