Hi! My name is Thamar, and there’s probably one thing I should get out of the way early: I’m not exactly your traditional au pair.
I’m a longtime nanny and childcare provider, a swim instructor, First Aid certified, an artist, a singer-songwriter, lover of tea sea and sound and song who genuinely loves working with kids.
I’ve been caring for children for most of my life, and some of the kids I nannied years ago are now teenagers who still call me for advice and help.
I bring a lot of creativity and fun into everyday routines. I’ve taught kids to swim, turned ordinary days into little adventures, and once even helped the kids I nannied write, act in, and film their own movie, which I turned into a DVD for them to keep.
I love teaching children to look at the world with curiosity, confidence, humor, and imagination. I’m currently looking for a family where I can be a dependable part of the household while continuing to pursue my promising music career and creative work during my off seasons personal time. I’d like to think of myself as like a summer camp experience my availability really opens up in the Spring & summertime.
