My name is Awa, I am 20 years old and I come from The Gambia. I am a friendly, caring, responsible and open-minded person who enjoys spending time with children and being part of family life.
I have experience caring for my niece and nephew, who regularly spend weekends with me. I enjoy playing with them, keeping them company, helping with their daily routines and making sure they feel happy and cared for.
I would love to become an Au Pair because I want to experience a new culture, improve my language skills, become more independent and build a genuine relationship with a host family. I am currently learning German at A1 level and I would also be happy to learn Italian if I have the opportunity to stay in Italy.
I speak English and Wolof, and I enjoy taking photos, creating content, discovering new places, spending time with family and learning about different cultures. I would also love to share my Gambian culture, food and traditions with my host family.
I am looking for a host family in Germany or Italy and would ideally like to start around December 2026 or January 2027. I am willing to stay for 6–12 months and I am happy to help with childcare and light household tasks.
