My name is Nicole, and I am a caring, responsible and hardworking young woman from Zimbabwe with a Diploma in Nursing and a background in Early Childhood Development. I am very interested in becoming an au pair because I genuinely enjoy caring for children, supporting their development and becoming a positive and trusted member of a family.
My Early Childhood Development training has given me an understanding of children's needs, learning, safety and development. My nursing background has further strengthened my ability to be patient, attentive, responsible and calm when caring for others. Through my clinical experience, I have developed strong skills in hygiene, feeding assistance, providing comfort, maintaining safety and responding appropriately to different needs.
As an au pair, I would be happy to assist with age-appropriate childcare, preparing simple meals, helping children with daily routines, playing educational and creative activities, supporting homework, keeping their spaces organised and accompanying them to activities when required. I understand that every child is different, and I would take the time to understand their personality, interests and individual needs.
I am respectful of different cultures and would be excited to experience European family life while also sharing my Zimbabwean/African culture with my host family. I am willing to learn, adaptable, trustworthy and committed to following the family's routines and expectations.
