My name is Mafel, and I’m from the Philippines. I’m excited to introduce myself and hopefully get to know your family better! This would be my first experience as an Au Pair, but I’m not new to working with children. I have a background in teaching and childcare, which has taught me to be patient, responsible, attentive, and understanding of children’s different personalities and needs.
I previously worked as a teacher, where I helped children learn, develop their confidence, and enjoy the learning process. I also worked as Youth Staff on a cruise ship, where I cared for children from different age groups and nationalities. I organized and facilitated activities such as arts and crafts, games, sports, storytelling, science activities, and family events. These experiences taught me how to keep children entertained while always making their safety and well-being a priority.
I would describe myself as caring, patient, friendly, responsible, and easy to get along with. I enjoy being playful and energetic with children, but I also understand the importance of routines, boundaries, and being dependable. I would love to create a warm and positive environment where your child feels safe, comfortable, and cared for.
I’m also happy to help with light household responsibilities, especially those related to the children, such as preparing simple meals, tidying their play areas, organizing their things, helping with routines, and keeping their spaces clean and comfortable.
Although I’m currently based in the Philippines, I’m very willing and excited to relocate. I see becoming an Au Pair an opportunity to become part of a family, experience a new culture, learn new things, and build a meaningful relationship with the children I care for.
