My name is Whitney, I am 28 years old and currently living in Malta, where I am pursuing my MBA in Marketing. I am a warm, responsible, organised and easy-going person who genuinely enjoys being around children and helping families make their everyday lives a little easier.

I am currently looking for an opportunity with a kind and welcoming host family where I can provide reliable childcare, companionship and practical support while also earning some extra income alongside my studies. Since I am already in Malta, I am available to meet families locally and, where suitable, start with an arrangement that works well for both of us.

?? Why I Would Love to Be Your Au Pair

I have always enjoyed spending time with children. I love their energy, curiosity and honesty, and I believe children thrive when they feel safe, listened to, encouraged and cared for. I would be happy to help with everyday activities such as playing, reading, preparing simple meals, helping with homework, taking children to activities, keeping them company and assisting with their routines.

I am a patient person and understand that every child has a different personality and needs. I would take the time to understand your family's routines, expectations and parenting style and make sure I follow the guidelines you have established for your children.

I also enjoy creative and fun activities. Depending on the children's ages and interests, I would be happy to do arts and crafts, read stories, play games, go for walks, bake together, help with schoolwork or simply spend quality time with them. My goal would be for the children to see me not only as someone who looks after them, but as a trustworthy and positive person they enjoy spending time with.

One of the things I genuinely enjoy is cooking. I would be happy to prepare simple, wholesome meals and snacks for the children and assist with family meal preparation where appropriate.

I enjoy learning new recipes and experimenting in the kitchen, so I would also be excited to learn some of your family's favourite meals and introduce you to dishes from my own background.

I understand that families can have different dietary preferences, routines and rules around food, and I am happy to follow your instructions carefully.

I am organised and understand that being an au pair or family assistant is not only about looking after children. I am happy to help with reasonable everyday tasks connected to the children and the smooth running of the household.

Alongside childcare, I have a background in administration, public relations, marketing and personal assistance. This means I can potentially offer additional support to a family who needs someone organised and comfortable with administrative tasks.

I am comfortable using tools such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Excel/Google Sheets, Canva, calendars and other digital tools. I can assist with things such as organising schedules, appointments, online research, travel planning, basic administrative tasks, organising documents and other practical tasks that may help a busy family.

Because I am currently studying my MBA in Marketing, I also have experience with social media and digital communication. If a family happens to need occasional assistance with social media, Canva designs, content organisation or similar tasks, I would be happy to discuss that as well.
