Family's Introduction to Au Pair
Our family of three currently lives in Chengdu, Sichuan province. My husband John and I (Jane) both work in the catering industry, and we manage several restaurants across China.
Our daughter's name is Angel. She is 8 years old and currently in the second grade of elementary school. Angel has a lively and outgoing personality. She is independent, has her own opinions, and sometimes can be a little stubborn. At the same time, she is very sensible and respectful of others — something we have encouraged since she was little. Her hobbies include singing, dancing, modeling shows, and playing basketball!
Our main expectation for an Au Pair is to help Angel improve her English speaking skills. Although she has been studying English for a while, she still struggles with speaking confidently. At first, she may be a little shy, but once she builds a connection, she will treat you like her best friend. We hope you can create a natural English-speaking environment for her and support her in practicing both listening and speaking.
In addition, we hope the Au Pair can become like an older sister to Angel — someone who spends time with her, cares for her, and grows together with her happily.
In our free time, we like to meet our relatives and friends, and sometimes we go hiking and travel around Sichuan province. You will have your own private bedroom and bathroom, along with three meals a day and pocket money.

Our primary goal is to help our daughter Angel (8 years old) build confidence in speaking English. She has studied English for a while but still struggles to speak naturally and confidently. We're looking for an Au Pair who can create a relaxed, everyday English-speaking environment — through conversation, games, activities, and daily routines — to help her improve both listening and speaking skills in a fun, pressure-free way.
Daily Responsibilities
Communicate with Angel primarily in English throughout the day
Engage her in conversations, games, songs, and storytelling to build speaking confidence
Accompany her to and from school when needed
Supervise and support light homework, especially English practice
Join and encourage her hobbies: singing, dancing, modeling/fashion play, and basketball
Plan simple, fun activities that combine play with language learning
Be a caring, attentive, and patient presence in her daily routine
Help foster a positive, trusting relationship, acting as a supportive "big sister" figure
Join family outings when invited: visits to relatives/friends, hiking, and trips around Sichuan province

Previous childcare or au pair experience is a plus, but not required
