Introduction

Hello! My name is Faith, and I am a caring, patient, and responsible young woman from Kenya. Thank you for taking the time to visit my profile. I hope that by the end of this letter, you will have a little picture of who I am and why becoming an Au Pair means so much to me.
For as long as I can remember, I have loved being around children. They have a way of filling a home with laughter, curiosity, and joy. Watching a child discover something new, overcome a challenge, or simply smile because they feel loved is one of the happiest feelings for me. That is one of the biggest reasons I want to become an Au Pair.
The child who has shaped my childcare journey the most is my nephew. I have been caring for him since he was 11 months old. While his mother was at work and his father was in school, I spent my days looking after him. I fed him, changed his diapers, bathed him, dressed him, played with him, comforted him when he was sick, and made sure he was always safe and happy.
One of the greatest privileges has been watching him grow. I was there for his first steps, his first words, and his first day of school. Today he is four years old, and we still have a wonderful relationship. Every time he sees me, he runs straight into my arms with the biggest smile. When I haven't visited for a while, he asks his parents when I will come back.
Moments like these remind me why I love caring for children so much.
I have also cared for my little cousin from the age of one until she turned three and regularly babysat my neighbour's daughter, Audrey. Spending time with children of different ages has taught me that every child has their own personality, their own pace, and their own way of seeing the world. My role is never just to supervise them, but to encourage them, listen to them, and help them feel confident.
After high school, I volunteered at a school for children with special needs. It was an experience that changed me. It taught me to be even more patient, understanding, and compassionate. I learned that every child deserves to be treated with kindness, respect, and love, regardless of their abilities.

One thing about me is that I truly enjoy encouraging children. I celebrate the little victories because I know they become big ones. Whether a child learns to count, writes a number correctly, finishes a drawing, or simply tries their best, I love saying, "Good job! I'm so proud of you." I believe confidence grows through encouragement, and I want every child I care for to believe in themselves.
I also believe kindness is one of the most valuable things we can give to others. I smile a lot because I believe smiles are contagious. I enjoy giving genuine compliments because I know a few kind words can brighten someone's day. My family and friends often describe me as cheerful, calm, and someone who brings warmth wherever she goes. I try to make people feel seen, appreciated, and comfortable.
When I'm not caring for children, I enjoy reading novels, singing, cooking, riding bicycles, watching movies, and spending time outdoors. I enjoy preparing simple, healthy meals and I'm always happy to help with light household duties to make family life run smoothly. I am organized, adaptable, and always willing to learn, and I will do my best to make your family's daily life easier while creating a safe, happy, and caring environment for your children.
Becoming an Au Pair is much more than an opportunity to travel for me. It is an opportunity to become part of another family, to learn about a new culture, and to create lifelong memories together. I hope to share my Kenyan culture with you while learning about yours, building a relationship based on trust, honesty, and respect.
I understand how much trust it takes to welcome someone into your home and allow them to care for your children. If you choose me, I promise to care for your children with the same love, patience, and dedication that I have always given to the children in my own family. My hope is that by the end of our journey together, your children will remember me not only as their Au Pair, but as someone who made them laugh, encouraged them, believed in them, and loved them wholeheartedly.
Thank you for reading my letter. I hope we have the opportunity to get to know each other and create wonderful memories together.
