Introduction
People who know me say I’m reliable, patient, organized, and creative. I care a lot about making sure kids feel safe, respected, and free to be themselves. I love creating an environment where they can ask questions, try new things, and just be curious without any pressure.
My experience with kids is pretty solid. I’ve babysat for bigger families at my church, volunteered at a charter school, and worked in an after-school homework program. I genuinely enjoy helping out with homework, reading stories, teaching Spanish or English if you’re up for it, or helping kids dive into crafts and games. I like encouraging kids to put down screens sometimes and get creative with hands-on activities.
What sets me apart is how I handle tough moments with kids. If a child’s upset, I stay calm. I don’t yell—I get down on their level, really listen, and work things through with patience and empathy. Building trust is important to me, and I try to treat every child with genuine understanding.
I’m fluent in both English and Spanish and would love to share my languages and culture while getting to know yours. When I have free time, you’ll probably find me cooking, baking, reading, making art, taking photos, or bird watching. I especially love trying out new foods—I’ve made everything from barbecue ribs to tacos, apple pie to crème caramel, even Kaiserschmarrn.
I’ve got a valid American driver’s license and I’m comfortable pitching in however I can—cooking for the kids, organizing activities, helping keep play areas tidy, or handling children’s laundry.
Most of all, I hope to become more than just someone who helps out—I want to feel like a real part of your family. No matter your family’s size, I’m excited to make memories, learn from you, and build a connection based on respect, kindness, and generosity.
