My name is Banna, and I am a 20-year-old young woman from the beautiful and peaceful country of The Gambia in West Africa. I am writing this letter with a lot of excitement, hope, and respect because I truly want to become a part of your family as your Au Pair. I was raised in a loving home where children are treated with love, patience, and respect. From the time I was young, I naturally took on the role of caring for others. I helped to care for my younger cousins every day, and I also looked after my neighbors’ and friends’ children many times. Over the past years, I have gathered more than 100 hours of childcare experience with children from the age of 3 to 12 years old. My daily responsibilities included preparing healthy meals and snacks, helping children get ready for school or daycare in the morning, assisting with homework and reading, and organizing fun and creative activities such as arts and crafts, drawing, music, and outdoor play at the playground. I am very confident with daily routines, bedtime stories, and making sure children feel safe, calm, and happy. I am a patient and gentle person, especially when children are tired, upset, or need extra attention and care. I also help the family with light housework that is related to the children, such as tidying their bedrooms, doing their laundry, and washing dishes after meals.

Regarding my personality, I am a responsible, honest, respectful, tidy, and well-organized young woman. I am a non-smoker and I always respect house rules and family values. I speak English fluently and I have German level A1 for my visa application. I am very serious about learning more German, and I will join a German language course in your city as soon as I arrive because I believe good communication will help me to understand your family better and feel closer to you. I do not have a driving license, I do not swim, and I do not ride a bicycle. However, I am very independent, confident, and experienced in using public transportation, buses, trains, and walking in a big city with your children. I am also very comfortable with family dogs and I will care for your pets with kindness and respect.

My reason for wanting to become an Au Pair is very strong in my heart. For me, this is not just a job or a way to travel. It is a cultural exchange and a chance to grow as a person. I want to live in Germany, learn your beautiful culture and language, and also share my own culture, food, music, and traditions with your family. I want to give your children my time, my energy, my English, and my love, while your family gives me a safe home and a chance to become a better version of myself. I am looking for a kind, respectful, and communicative family in a big city like Berlin, Hamburg, or Cologne. I am available from September 2026 for a period of 10 to 12 months.
