Ich bin SHUMAILA, und ich bin veirundzwanzig (24) jahre alt von Karachi, Pakistan. I recently completed my bachelor's degree in education from the University of Karachi. I grew up in a large joint family with my grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, and many cousins—so I have always been surrounded by children and elderly family members. This taught me patience, responsibility, and how to care for people of all ages.
Why I Want to Become an Au Pair:
Ich lerne seit Mai 2026 Deutsch und will take my A1 exam in July 2026 at the Goethe-Institut. My plan is clear: first, I want to immerse myself in the German language and culture as an au pair, and then start my Master's degree in Education at Universität Leipzig. Living with your family will give me the daily practice, cultural understanding, and confidence I need before beginning my studies. This is not just a gap year for me — it is the foundation of my future in Germany.
Why You Should Host Me
I am not looking for a free place to stay. I am looking for a family to grow with. I offer:
Genuine childcare experience: I volunteered at Hussaini Foundation (2015–2017), facilitating summer camps for 20+ children on emotional and behavioural management. I also have certified training in child psychosocial support.
Daily childcare practice: I regularly looked after my cousins (ages 2–18) – from feeding and playing with toddlers to helping teenagers with homework.
Cooking skills: I cook daily for my family and enjoy making simple, healthy meals, including safe no-fire recipes that children can help with.
Sports background: I have been a certified judo player since 2018 and a gold medallist at the Prime Minister Provincial Judo Games 2024. I can keep your children active and teach them discipline through fun.
Respect for elders: In my culture, caring for grandparents is natural. I am happy to help with small tasks for elderly family members too.
Commitment: I am available from 1 January 2027 and committed to 12 months with your family.
