Good day! I hope this letter may bring you closer to my life. I am Sarah, 20 years of age from Burauen, Leyte, Philippines. I am writing this letter to introduce myself and to express my sincere interest in becoming an Au Pair for your Family.
Growing up as an only child raised by a single mother, I learned independence and responsibility from a young age. I learned early on how important patience, respect, and understanding are in a home, and these are values I bring with me in my daily life and when caring for children. I currently live with a family of three and their four dogs in Palo, Leyte, as my aunt recommend me to them. They gave me with a place to stay, food, and a small allowance in exchange for helping take care for their two-year-old daughter and help them with light household chores such as cooking and cleaning.
Through this experience, I have learned how to ensure a child’s safety, follow daily routines, and create a warm, supportive, and engaging environment. I have developed a close relationship with family, especially their daughter, and they describe me as someone who is kind, hardworking, empathetic, and reliable.
I also have a background in the arts, having been part of the Special Program in the Arts during high school. This helped develop my creativity, patience, and communication skills. I enjoy introducing children to creative activities such as imaginative play, crafts and drawing, which I believe support both learning and emotional development.
I completed my Senior High School education under the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics track, which further developed my interpersonal skills. My school experiences helped me become adaptable, open-minded, and willing to learn about new cultures and perspectives.
My interest in becoming an Au Pair comes from my desire to experience cultural exchange while being part of your family. A year as an Au Pair would be a meaningful journey for me to learn more about myself, experience your culture, learning my German language skills, and grow as an independent and open-minded person.
