Au Pair Job Description
Position: Spanish-Speaking Au Pair for Two Young Children
We are seeking a dedicated, nurturing, and Spanish-speaking Au Pair to join our family and care for our two children, aged 2 and 4. This is a live-in role focused on supporting our children's growth through language immersion, structured care, and engaging daily routines.
Key Responsibilities
Childcare:
Care for our 2-year-old during the day.
Assist with the 4-year-old's school routine, including daily drop-off.
Maintain a consistent, loving, and safe environment.
Spanish Language Immersion:
Speak Spanish with the children throughout the day to support bilingual development.
Daily Activities:
Plan and lead educational and creative activities (crafts, reading, learning games).
Accompany children to/from extracurriculars like soccer and swimming.
Explore parks, playgrounds, and community events when appropriate.
Meal Preparation:
Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the children.
Light Housekeeping (Child-Related):
Clean children’s rooms weekly.
Tidy play areas daily.
Wash and fold children's laundry and linens once a week.
Schedule
Approximately 45 hours per week, with flexible scheduling discussed in advance. Weekends generally free, with occasional family outings.
Compensation & Benefits
Private living quarters: bedroom, personal sink and toilet, shared shower.
All meals included.
Use of the family car for personal errands (with prior approval).
Tuition for an educational class of your choice (within program guidelines).
