Hello my future Au pair, my name is Vicky. Inviting a stranger to my house as a long-term roomie is a big decision, and I hope that both parties can fully communicate and understand each other before making a decision, in order to have a smooth and pleasant experience in the future as possible.
I live in the city center of Shenzhen with my husband, mother-in-law, and my almost 2-year-old daughter. My family is very loving. My husband is a company employee and I am a fulltime tutor who loves children very much and has a lot of experience in education. My mother-in-law grew up in poverty, but she is quite open-mind and respects the ideas of young people.
I have been to the UK, US, and Australia for short-term language courses, so I also have experience living with host families. I recently got to know some Au pairs through my students' parents, and learned that many Au pair have various problems with their host families even after communicating through agencies. There are many situations where they want to change another host families.
So first I need to tell you I live in a very convenient location in big city, easy to go everywhere but the house is not big. The Au pair may need to share room with my mother-in-law, which I will try my best to create private space as much as possible. If you feel interested, please let me know!
