Hi my name is Shofia, I'm from Indonesia and I'm 22 years old. My mother language is Indonesia and I can also speak English, I have been learning English since elementary school and I still practice it every day, I'm also very eager to learn French and German and of course other languages as well.

I would describe myself as an open minded, cheerful, reliable, creative, loyal and caring, I can be shy at first but once I warm up to you I will not be shy, I'm more soft spoken so you will not have to worry about me being too loud, I'm very responsible and organized, I'm a very outgoing person, very patient, kind and honest, I love to talk and I love being around the people I love.

About my hobbies, I do have a lot of them, I love journaling, I love cooking and baking, I also like reading books, most of the books I read are self improvement books and poetry, I love listening to music, watching movies, jogging and bicycling, spend time in nature, and i really love learning about new things and I believe that being an Au Pair in would be the perfect way for me to immerse myself in the culture and language while sharing my cultural background with my host family.

Becoming an au pair sounds like a great opportunity to get out of my comfort zone on a new adventure and meet new people from a new country. I want to have new experiences out of my bubble and my home country. I always had a dream about living in abroad, to experience the culture, learn about new languages and meet new amazing people and places.

I have a lot of experience in taking care of children because I helped raise my 3 sisters (18, 12 & 5 years old), besides that I also helped take care of my nephew from baby to age 4. I usually pick up and take my sisters to school, and take care of my youngest sister and my nephew, usually I accompany them to watch TV, drawing, singing and dancing, playing in the yard with the cats and take an afternoon walk, usually I also cook them food and accompany them to eat. I really love them, In my free time I usually go out with my siblings, go shopping and eat delicious foods then take them to play at the play center, we do spend time together and we love being silly with each other, they are the best part of me and they are my forever best friends.

I also had an internship experience at a kindergarten for one month when I was in school, it was one of the best programs my school had and I'm so glad I did it cause being around the kids are so joyful to me, I get along well with kids and this exchange is my big dream.

I'm eager to bring my experience, enthusiasm and dedication to Au Pair program where I believe I can contribute to the well being and development of the children under my care, I love connecting with the children I care for and I strive to develop appropriate and trust filled relationships with each children and family.

And since this is will be my first experience as an Au Pair, my plan to do after being an Au Pair is to continue to be an au pair in other countries because becoming an Au Pair is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in the field of childcare and an opportunity to get out of my comfort zone on a new adventure and meet new people from a new country. I want to have new experiences out of my bubble and my home country, living in a foreign country to experience and navigating new cultural norms, learn about new languages, meet new amazing people and places and made new friends from all over the world will undoubtedly be challenging but I'm excited to be embrace these challenges and gain new skills, perspective, language skills, independence and explore my new surroundings. I believe that this opportunity will provide me with a unique and rewarding experience and professional growth.
