My daughter is 8 years old and very much enjoys learning Chinese. She thinks it is really fun, and is eager to get even better at reading and writing. We recently moved and she is worried she might forget some of her Chinese since I haven’t found her a new teacher yet. (She really likes learning Chinese, so helping her is super easy!)
I would like to find a person who would be happy to speak with my daughter fully in Chinese (she is accustomed to this) and also help her continue learning to read and write. (Traditional is preferred, but simplified is okay as well).
She has some books, workbooks to help, but just the everyday activities are a great way to learn as well. She loves to be outside, read and write, as well as dance and music and sport.
Afterschool she needs to do a few chores, sometimes extracurricular activities, and other than that she just gets to play with friends. I am okay if you have a child that wants to come as well. If you could help with basic snacks dinner / tidying that would be great but nothing very elaborate is expected.
During the school year she is finished at 3:30pm. And the summer times will be flexible depending on what classes she is signed up for.
For the right person, I can be flexible about hours, days, and times. I am open to a single person or even a mother with a child of her own who wants to be live-out. Also, I have a large home and have space to share for the right person if that works better.
I am a Teacher myself, and I even used to live in Taiwan when I was younger (but that was long ago!) so I am familiar with Taiwan more than China or Singapore. However, I was lucky to travel to China a bit as well.
