Hello! My name is Darly Ardila and I am probably excited to have the opportunity to become an au pair in the United States and be a part of your home. Let me introduce myself and share a little about myself and why I would love to join your family.
I am an 18-year-old girl, originally from Bucaramanga - Colombia, a city full of rich culture and traditions. From a very early age, she has been passionate about exploring different cultures and meeting people from all over the world. I consider cultural exchange to be one of the most enriching experiences and I am excited to immerse myself in this adventure full of traditions and share mine with you.
One of the main reasons I am excited about being an au pair is my love for children. I love their innate curiosity and the way every day is an opportunity to learn something new through them. I have had the opportunity to work with children in different capacities, from being a part-time caregiver taking care of 2 beautiful children (A 7-year-old girl and an 11-month-old baby) with whom I managed to share a spectacular year because working with them helped me expand my knowledge and skills in this work, to be a private teacher for several children of different ages and learning, which has allowed me to develop skills to connect with them and create a fun and safe environment.
My goal as an au pair is to provide a warm and caring environment for your children, to be a supportive figure in their growth and development by learning from them and from you as a family. I am willing to help with daily tasks, from preparing nutritious meals to helping with schoolwork. She would also be delighted to share creative activities, such as crafts and games, to encourage her imagination and creativity.
I am a responsible, organized and adaptable person. I like to keep a clean and orderly home and I strive to fulfill my responsibilities in a timely manner. My flexibility allows me to adapt to the changing needs of children and family. Also, I would add that I have been driving since
the beginning of 2023 when I got the license, so it could be a good option if I had to take them.
In addition to babysitting, I have other interests and hobbies. I love nature, because when I have traveled with my family to the towns of my country we always spend a pleasant time outdoors, from camping to visiting rivers, waterfalls, taking advantage of and taking care of the botanical beauty that Colombia offers. I am also a music fan because from a very young age I like to sing and explore different musical genres. I would like to learn more about the gastronomy of my future host family and share dishes from my country with you.
