Job Description
About Us: We are a warm and organized family of four moving from the UK to Luxembourg Hollerich in August 2026. We have two children aged 14 and 7. We value mutual respect, clear communication, and longevity—our wonderful nanny-housekeeper in the UK has been with us for 5 years, and she is more than happy to speak with potential candidates to share her excellent experience with our family!
We are looking for a reliable, professional, and proactive Live-Out Nanny-Housekeeper to help our household run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Housekeeping & Organization: Keeping the home clean, tidy, and organized; managing family laundry and ironing.
Childcare & After-School Routine: Collecting our 7-year-old from school (a short 10-minute walk), supervising homework (e.g., reading together or explaining instructions), and accompanying him to after-school activities.
Meals & Errands: Preparing simple, healthy meals for the children; putting away online grocery deliveries and doing occasional light top-up shopping (bread, milk, etc.).
Hours & Schedule:
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 13:00 to 20:00 (35 hours per week).
Start Date: September or October 2026.
The Ideal Candidate:
Experienced, thorough, punctual, and genuinely caring.
Fluent/Highly proficient in English (French or Luxembourgish is a bonus but not required).
Must hold a valid Right to Work in Luxembourg and France (EU citizenship or valid residence/work permit).
Willingness to occasionally travel with the family to France during some school holidays (details and compensation to be mutually discussed).
What We Offer:
A stable, long-term 35-hour contract registered with the CCSS.
Salary around 2500 euros / month based on experience and qualifications (also aligned with Luxembourg’s Social Minimum Wage laws).
