I joined MY Amevi as a junior housekeeper, main responsibilities were daily deep cleans of the guest cabins and salons, bed changing, polishing, turn downs, guest and crew laundry, packing and unpacking, silver service at each meal and general upkeep of the yacht. After 2 years of hard work and commitment, the captain and chief stew thought it was time for a promotion to head housekeeper. My main responsibilities included daily management of 7 housekeepers, training the team to comply with the yachts high standards, managing stock controls, purchasing stock when needed, creating defects and maintenance lists, I was in charge of checking all guest interior and crew areas thoroughly to ensure the correct detailing procedure had been followed, managed and responded to guest requests and queries creating a welcoming environment.
