Dear Family,

My name is Maria and I live in Slovakia ( the European Union member ). I´m 27 year old.
I studied at Bilingual English Slovak Grammar School where most lessons were held in english. I also received State Language Certificate.

I worked as a receptionist in Slovakia.
Later, I went to England to work as a carer. My job was to look after a disabled young man and manage the household therefore I have housekeeping experience.
In 2010, I looked after an elderly lady suffering from dementia for six months.
Now, I work as an au-pair in Finland, I´m looking after 5-year old boy. I would be leaving Finland in the early september.

I have always had a great relationship with children. I looked after my friends´ children from different age groups.
Helping teachers at Sunday Church School for children was also one of my favourite activities.
Also, I was a tutor twice at church camps for children aged 12-18 and once at a camp for children aged 6-12.
My nephew, who is three year old and whom I look after when his parents need and when I´m in Slovakia, is my good friend.

In my free time, I like to read books, do crafts like scrapbooking or cardmaking or spend time with my friends.

I ´m friendly, responsible and well organized.
I ´d like to discover a new country which is also one of the reasons I would like to work as an au pair. Possibly learning new language would be challenging and enriching for me. :)
