Hello, I'm Sofia! I grew up playing sports as well as being involved in musicals, piano and voice lessons. I worked as a nanny, caregiver, and housekeeper for about 5 years combined with multiple families in different states. While working with children and adults with disabilities.
My most recent position was a House Manager/Housekeeper/Caregiver for a private family. I oversee and manage the daily operations and maintenance of the household. Taking care of all scheduling and appointments as well as errands. I ensure the residence is clean, organized and well-maintained. I prepare dietary restricted meals for the whole household while also providing extra assistance to the elderly family member and disabled dog.
I have a special love for animals, so if you have pets, they too will receive extra love and attention from me! What can I say, cuddle time is my favorite time! In the past I have fostered dogs, cats, and multiple kitten litters. I have experience with failure to thrive, heart conditions, dietary restrictions, cataracts, and diabetes in animals. Monitoring blood sugar, insulin injections and medications as well as introducing new commands as a dog lost his sight with all the cuddles and love in between!
I am a certified Personal Care Attendant and worked as a PCA for two years. Traveled from house to house, and at times different facilities, taking care of the elderly and disabled. On a routine basis I assisted with various daily living activities such as meal prep, excercise, transfering, dressing, bathing, full housekeeping, and socialization. I have worked with people anywhere from newborn to their late 90's, all of whom had their own special needs.
I am also a previous Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician who is trained in emergency care skills, such as defibrillation, airway maintenance, CPR, spinal immobilization, bleeding control, and fracture management. I worked as an EMT prior to taking a two month cross-country roadtrip to dance Argentine Tango on my country wide adventure!
