We are looking for a reliable and fun nanny for our 11-month-old son and 5-year-old-daughter. Since our children tend to get very attached to their nannies, we would prefer someone who could commit to at least a year.

We both work remote from home, and at times abroad. Before our daughter goes to school next year, we would like to spend time together as a family and we would like a third pair of hands to help out where needed to make life run more smoothly. We see a nanny as more of a co-educator, who plays an important role in their life and upbringing, and not just a mere babysitter. We are looking for a nanny who has experience with children our children's age, ideally some relevant formal education or training, as well as a good understanding about child development.

We plan to spend some time abroad, e.g. in Italy or France (we mostly stay within Europe), and we usually rent a vacation home to offer us home comforts and to allow for routines for the children. We would like our nanny to accompany us for up to 2 weeks at a time (exact dates to be discussed with nanny). You would have your own room wherever possible and use of a car.

When in Berlin you would take our daughter to pre-school and pick her up and look after both children in the afternoons. Regular nursery duties apply, including light help around the house and laundry (we have a cleaner). We would particularly like a nanny who enjoys cooking for the whole family at times and who includes the children in the preparation of meals to teach healthy eating habits. In addition, we would ask for 3-4 babysitting evenings a month, when you would pick our children up, prepare a light meal, play with them and put them to bed.

When abroad you would look after both children full-time. Since we are aware that travel usually entails longer hours, we offer you a 'working time account', i.e. you receive your salary for a set amount of hours. This means you can offset longer travel hours and work fewer hours when in Berlin (for the same salary) or take extra time off.

We raise our children bilingually, so you could speak either German or English with them. A driver's license would be helpful, especially when abroad, but is no pre-requisite. We usually stay in warmer countries near the sea and we enjoy sailing, so we hope you enjoy swimming :)
