Hello, My name is Nyaradzai, I am 27 years old and from Zimbabwe. I would describe myself as a kind, patient, responsible, organised, and genuinely caring person who enjoys spending time with children.
I believe I would make a great babysitter because caring for children has been a natural part of my life from a young age. Growing up in a large family, I helped care for younger siblings, nieces, and nephews. I also cared for my sister’s young son, helping with feeding, bathing, bedtime, and nighttime care. During my Advanced Level studies, I lived with and cared for my brother’s preschool-aged daughter for several months while her parents were working in a remote area. I was responsible for her morning routine, breakfast, getting her ready for preschool, and making sure she was safely prepared for school each day.
I have also worked privately providing school-run care for elementary-school-aged children, which taught me the importance of being punctual, dependable, and attentive to children's safety.
I am very observant when it comes to children. I pay attention to their moods, behaviour, energy levels, and wellbeing, and I believe in communicating with parents if I notice something important. I also understand that every child is different, so I try to be patient and adapt to their personality, interests, and needs.
I enjoy keeping children engaged through reading, arts and crafts, singing, dancing, educational games, creative play, and outdoor activities. I can also help with homework and provide tutoring, particularly in Mathematics and English.
I am comfortable taking responsibility and working independently, but I also believe good communication with parents is essential. I would always respect your parenting style, household routines, and expectations.
I am also comfortable around animals and would be happy to help with family pets. I have a 10-month-old German Shepherd whom I feed, bathe, walk, and play with, so I understand the responsibility and care that pets require.
Most importantly, I genuinely enjoy being around children. I want them to feel safe, listened to, respected, and happy while they are in my care. My goal as a babysitter would be not only to look after them, but to create a positive environment where they can learn, play, and be themselves.
