Dear Host Family,
My name is Sidra, I am 20 years old and I am from Italy. I recently graduated from high school and I am now looking for my first professional experience as an Au Pair and Nanny. I have always felt very comfortable around children. I grew up spending a lot of time with children in my family and among friends, and I also took part in activities at the oratory. In family and social situations, I was often the youngest person around and the one naturally trusted to look after the children. I have always genuinely enjoyed being with them, and it has never felt like a burden to me. I would now like to turn something I have always enjoyed into a professional experience. I am particularly interested in living with a family because I would love to become part of their daily life, learn from them and build a genuine relationship with the children. I am a calm, patient and responsible person, but I am also energetic and curious. I would be happy to help with the children’s daily routines, activities, homework, meals and light household tasks. I would also love to share my Italian language and culture with the children. I am especially interested in opportunities in Italy because I would like to gain experience while remaining relatively close to my family. I live in Lombardy, in Northern Italy, but I am open to relocating to another region. I am a native Italian and Russian speaker. My mother is Russian, so I grew up speaking Russian at home alongside Italian. I also speak English, which I learned at school, and I am currently working on improving my confidence and fluency. Although I do not yet have professional nanny experience, I am not starting completely from zero: I have had many years of informal experience caring for children within my family and through activities with children. I am also very willing to learn and take guidance from the family. I am currently studying for my driving licence, although I cannot drive yet. I would be happy to contribute to the family in other ways while I work towards obtaining it. I am looking for a family with whom I can build a positive and respectful relationship, while gaining valuable experience and becoming a reliable presence in the children’s lives.
