My name is Tendo, and I am a caring, responsible, and enthusiastic young woman from Uganda. I am currently pursuing a degree in Microbiology, a field that has taught me discipline, attention to detail, responsibility, and the importance of health and safety. I am excited about the opportunity to become part of a loving host family, experience a new culture, and help care for your children.

I have experience caring for younger children within my family and community. Through helping with younger siblings, cousins, and family friends, I have learned how to be patient, attentive, and understanding. These experiences have taught me how to communicate with children, keep them engaged, and create a positive environment where they feel safe, happy, and supported.

I believe I would make a great babysitter because I genuinely enjoy spending time with children. I love seeing them learn, grow, and express their unique personalities. I enjoy reading stories, helping with homework, playing games, drawing, singing, and participating in fun activities that encourage creativity and learning. I am also happy to assist with meal preparation, bedtime routines, light household tasks, and ensuring children follow healthy daily habits.

One of my greatest strengths is my ability to connect with people through kindness and patience. I understand that parents are trusting me with what is most precious to them, and I take that responsibility seriously. I strive to be dependable, trustworthy, and caring at all times. I want children to feel comfortable around me while parents feel confident knowing their children are in safe hands.

As someone who is pursuing higher education, I value learning, personal growth, and hard work. I am organized, motivated, and always willing to learn new things. My studies have also strengthened my understanding of cleanliness, hygiene, and healthy practices, which are important when caring for children.

Beyond childcare, I am excited to learn about your culture, traditions, and way of life. I would love to share my Ugandan culture with your family as well. I believe that becoming an au pair is about more than childcare—it is about building meaningful relationships, creating wonderful memories, and becoming a positive part of each other’s lives.
