Having raised my own wonderful children (now 34 & 32) I understand the role of a parent and care giver to children. I have worked in child care on and off throughout my adult life in both paid and volunteer roles. I am a trained and qualified youth worker and spent 17 years working within the youth justice service in the U.K.
I am a creative, caring, fun and friendly person who loves to get the best out of people, I consider myself to be a guide to the people I work with and not an authoritarian. I also like to balance fun with learning and have a pedagogical approach to working with children and young people. I bring my hobby of crafting into my work and like to make, cook, draw, experiment, craft, read, act, play, exercise, sing, dance, rest, relax, teach and learn in safe, interesting and age appropriate ways
