I would love the opportunity to work with you and support your household. I have been working as a live-in private caregiver since 2003, and caring for people is truly something I am passionate about.
In my previous roles, I have provided full-time, hands-on care in clients’ homes. I assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and preparing meals based on specific dietary needs. I am also experienced in administering medication, monitoring health conditions, and offering companionship and emotional support—always treating those in my care with dignity, patience, and respect.
In addition, I support clients with light physical activity and daily exercises suited to their ability, helping to maintain mobility, strength, and overall well-being. I understand how important movement is for both physical and mental health, and I encourage it in a safe and positive way.
Alongside caregiving, I help maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized home by managing household tasks like cleaning and laundry. I have experience caring for individuals with a variety of health conditions, as well as providing childcare, ensuring a calm, supportive, and nurturing environment at all times.
I also spent a year working as a guesthouse manager and all-rounder, where I handled daily operations, welcomed guests, managed bookings, and ensured everything ran smoothly. This experience strengthened my ability to work independently, stay organized, and create a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
On a more personal note, I previously owned and managed a caregiving company in South Africa from 2003 to 2019. This experience gave me strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of quality care. I am now working independently and fully dedicated to my caregiving career. I am not married and have two independent adult daughters, which allows me the flexibility to fully commit to my work and to a family who needs reliable support.
In my free time, I enjoy creative and meaningful activities such as candle making and sewing. I am also a children’s book writer, creating stories with English descriptions to support learning and tutoring. I love working with children in creative ways and enjoy organizing fun and educational craft activities and classes that encourage imagination and development.
I am a non-smoker with sober habits, and I maintain a healthy, responsible lifestyle. I am reliable, compassionate, and adaptable, and I take pride in making a positive difference in the lives of the people I care for.
