Dear potential host family,
I'm a 20-year-old girl that grew up in South Africa but moved to France 3 years ago! My mom is French and my dad is South African so my native language is English with somewhat of a British accent. While I can hold a conversation in French, it is not my native language.
Starting in September 2025 I'll be studying international commerce online which is also why I'm so interested in becoming an Au Pair! In my free time I do arts and crafts, journaling, drawing and reading. I also LOVE cooking and baking so if you're looking for someone to make meals or desserts, I'd be more than happy to.
I'd describe myself as a kind, patient and creative. While I don't have any professional experience with taking care of children, I have done babysitting for family, friends etc. I did also work in a restaurant that accommodated children where I was in charge of keeping the kids occupied and safe on the playgrounds. I love children, especially coming up with activities for them.
Why do I want to become an Au Pair? I'd love to travel around the world to experience different cultures and learn languages. Since I'll be doing my degree online, I'll have a lot of free time and I definitely don't want to sit around at home! My mother used to be an Au Pair for a family in Florida when she was my age and she has nothing but good things to say about her experience!
I don't smoke or drink and I'm a clean, quiet person so you won't have to worry about me making a mess or being loud at night. Pets aren't a problem either! I also did take a first aid course but unfortunately I don't have a driver's license yet. (I am working towards it though :)) I also don't have any dietary needs either. While I myself am not religious I will respect your beliefs/religion.
I can also clean and do laundry, I'd consider myself a clean person!
