Dear Family,
Hello there. Hope you're doing well. I am Ama Leah and to those close to me they call me Ama. I am currently working here in Israel as a caregiver for more than a year. I am taking good care of an old woman,I call her Ima who's in need of companion, emotional support and daily needs in life. I am previously employed as primary school teacher in the Philippines for more than 10 years. Aside from being a classroom teacher, i also become a parent, carer and a fixer by mending some personal problems that is not related in school.This profession is not only about the academic progress but the success of each individual holistically. I really love my job for I have passion in caring children but due to lack of finances I decided to resign from my work and leave my family to find a job that can help me more to provide my family's financial needs, my daughter's education fee and savings for her future and to support my parents medication and daily needs in life for I am the sole breadwinner in the family. Although I have siblings that suppose to help me but they don't have the capacity with regards to this matter and I truly understand them.
I was born and raised with an unstable living condition. We experience hardship rather than convinience most of the time. My father is a farmer and my mother is a homemaker. Unfortunately, they didn't have any benefits to receive for thier being senior citizens because they could not able to save money for thier health and life insurance due to financial instability. I am the second of four siblings and I am the one who's our parents rely on. I am greatful of those experience that life brought me. I learned valuable and beneficial traits and knowledge. I become a hardworking, responsible and ambitious person. My parents defines me as a strong person, reliable, trustworthy and diligent. Their love, care and advices made me a person with full of dreams and positive outlook in life. I have a good sense of humor that's why my friends and my colleagues describe me as a comedian and a joker of the company. They always laugh at my simple jokes and keeps telling me that I make them happy and made their day enjoyable when I am around. I love watching movies, listening to music and play guitar and piano whenever I have some me time.
I am looking forward to work and share my skills and abilities with the people who will be my employer and I am so excited to learn and explore new things from other cultures and beliefs. I believe that if I am giving the opportunity this will be the pathway of my dreams for my daughter to come true.
