Dear host family, here's a little information about me:
My name is Kimberly, you can call me K or KB. I am 25 years old from the Philippines.
I am a college undergraduate, I took Bachelor of Science in Nursing way back 2014-2017 then I decided to dropout due to financial and other reasons.
And then wayback 2018-2019 I took care of my parents house and our apartment business in Quezon City and I was left with my two younger siblings with me due to my parents have to move to do some errands for our business there in our province in Davao City.
And then the pandemic arrived and due to that, I decided to pursue my dreams and to study again since I received a scholarship and had the chance to study caregiving for free with allowance for 6 months and that gave me the chance to continue my passion to serve and help people in the medical field.
After studying caregiving for almost a year, yes it took almost a year because we have to wait for our institution to deploy us for our on the job training to apply all the knowledges and skills that we learned from our course.
Going back, after almost a year of waiting I applied right away as a nursing assistant in a tertiary hospital here in Quezon City, Philippines and I am serving in the industry for almost a year now.
When my parents decided to move to our province for their business in 2018, from there and I was left with my two younger sisters with me. I was the one who's taking care with them back then, cooking for them, preparing their food and their lunch box, bathe them and ironing their clothes and uniforms, preparing them to school, help them with their homework and projects in school, made safe activities with them and putting them to bed after their long tiring day.
I am also neat and tidy regardless of how tired I am within the day, I always made sure that before I go to bed I completed all assigned tasks and chores everyday because for me that is peace of mind and tell that my day was productive.
In addition, I want to become an au pair because I love being with children, I am comfortable and confident that I am capable to become their elder sister and do everything to love and guide them if host parents are not around. I am calm, passionate, honest, adaptable and a pro-active person.
Also, I have a lot of services to offer, I know how to cook, I can help them with their homework, I am neat and tidy and love organizing things, and I'm comfortable with pets too 🐱😺
I assure you I will help them to enjoy their free time and make safe activities with them.
Also I want to become an au pair and use my background knowledge and skills in taking care of kids. I am adept at delivering safe and effective care while focusing on children's development and growth. I am also aware of the physical and emotional demands of working with children and the ideal combination of patience, energy, compassion, and responsibility.
Furthermore, I'm a trained first aider (BLS/CPR) for both adult and pediatrics and I think that the combination of my experience and qualities make me an ideal au pair for my future host family.
Furthermore, It is really my dream to visit and travel EU countries and it's beautiful scenery and breath taking places also, to learn more about the cultures, foods and to make friends with every people that I will meet there soon and I am willing to start as soon as possible.
