I´m very excited yet about getting to know you, but firstly I want to introduce myself to you a bit, to make your decision easier...
My name is Jesteene and I´m a 21-year-old girl from Westchester, Portmore. in Jamaica. I live together with my dad Earl (45) , my stepmom Marklyn (40), Shanice (16) my younger sister and my younger brother Malik (4) in a small community called Westchester. My father works as an Construction worker, my mother is an Entrepeneur and my stepmom works as a Supervisor at Burger King. Malik, my brother is currently attending class 3 of basic (kindergarden) school. We are a pretty large family. I have 3 brothers and 5 sisters. I have a good relationship with my family.
I would describe myself as reliable/responsible, caring, friendly, helpful, tolerant, cheerful, polite and intelligent individual. I try to make the best of every situation. I like spending time with my friends and have fun with them, listening to music, go shopping, take photos, reading, dancing and singing. Singing is one of my biggest hobbies because I can sing very well . My friends and family are very important to me . I try to help them if they have problems and I´m always there for them. I am a creative and ambitious young woman because I have a lot of ideas about my future.
In 2010 I worked in an office in where I got experience in clerical work and customer relations. I also worked in Restaurants part time as a kitchen steward, a cashier and a food and drinks server. I do not have problems to help in the household. I really love cooking and I like to taste other foods. I also love reading all kinds of books and discuss them.
The reason why I want to go to America as an aupair is because I want to gather valueable memories with a new family and get to know new friends. It was always a great dream of mine to live and work in a foreign country. I think it is a beautiful country with its beautiful lakes and nice “mountains”. I am fascinated by the marvelous landscape and from the nice people living in America. I would like to get to know the American way of life and different cultures. It would be great to improve my English skills and become more independent, self-confident and open-minded by spending an exciting year abroad. Primarily it´s of course the time I´m going to spend with the children and the experience of an eventful year with you and your kids. I couldn´t imagine a life without children. I love to see them smiling and their shining eyes on christmas, their enthusiasm if they learned something new and their imaginative idea of the world.
I gained experience with children mainly through having one of my own and my previous years of looking after younger siblings (brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews) . But even in my spare time I look after babies and children of different families.
I hope we can develop a good relationship and work and live together as a family. I´m looking forward to talking to you.
