Dear Host Family,
My name is Daniela, I’m 26 years old and I’m from Colombia. I hold a degree in Spanish and Literature. For over six years, I have had the opportunity to care for my younger siblings, which gave me valuable experience in child care and support. I have also worked as an external caregiver for children of different ages — from one-year-old babies to teenagers — which has helped me develop important skills such as patience, empathy, creativity, and the ability to build trust with both children and their families.
Additionally, I have supported academic activities at a preschool, helping young children and teenagers with their homework. I truly enjoy teaching and being part of a child’s learning journey. I love helping them develop their creativity, language skills, and confidence through games, reading, and playful activities. I am open to caring for children of any age, as I believe every stage is unique and special. I easily adapt to different needs and situations.
Besides my childcare experience, I’m also comfortable helping with household tasks. I like to keep things tidy, I can cook basic meals, and I’m happy to help with cleaning, organization, and errands. I’m always open to learning and taking on new responsibilities with dedication and care.
At the moment, I don’t have formal first aid training or a driver’s license, but I am open to learning both if needed. I can swim at a basic level.
What motivates me the most about becoming an au pair is the opportunity to grow personally and professionally. I would love to improve my English, possibly learn French, and immerse myself in a new culture. This experience means a lot to me, as it would help me build a brighter future. I consider myself respectful, adaptable, communicative, and eager to contribute to a host family with everything I know — and everything I’m ready to learn.
I’m open to living in if required, and I’m happy to assist with additional tasks such as tutoring, errands, pet care, or household support. For me, it is essential to build a relationship based on trust, mutual respect, and teamwork with the host family.
