Hello Families,

My name is Rae, and I’m so excited to introduce myself. Caring for children has been a natural part of my life for many years, both personally and professionally.

I come from a big, family-oriented background and have 4 nieces and 2 nephews. When my oldest niece was younger, I helped raise her while my sister balanced school and work. At the time, I was a junior and senior in high school myself, but I stepped in daily to help with feeding, routines, supervision, and overall care. That experience taught me responsibility at a young age and showed me how important consistency and patience are in a child’s development.

I’ve also regularly babysat for my oldest sister’s children while her husband was serving in the military and she worked. Being someone my family could rely on during that time meant a lot to me. In addition, many of my friends have trusted me to watch their children over the years, which I believe speaks to my reliability and the level of comfort people feel with me caring for their little ones.

Beyond family, I worked in my community back home supporting children from kindergarten through 5th grade in after-school programs. I helped with homework, organized activities, and guided life skills development. I enjoy creating structure while still making learning and play engaging and fun.

Professionally, I have over 11 years of healthcare experience, including working in OBGYN. That environment strengthened my ability to stay calm, organized, and attentive to detail. Safety, communication, and trust are extremely important to me, especially when it comes to children.

I would describe myself as patient, dependable, and nurturing. I understand that inviting someone into your home to care for your children is a big decision, and I take that responsibility seriously. My goal is always to create a safe, structured, and supportive environment where children feel comfortable and families feel at ease.
