I will truly care for your kids, and I find I do a really good job of listening to them. Kids aren't always used to being genuinely listened to by an adult, and they really seem to appreciate it and respect me for it, which makes for a stronger bond and much fewer behavior issues. Besides listening, which works well with all ages, I love to play and when kids can see that my love for fun is genuine, my awesomeness rating increases exponentially! I also have a huge collection of toys, games, and activities to appeal to kids of all ages and make our time together extra fun, with everything from light-up cars and flying toys, to super fun board games and outdoor toys, to a massive Nerf arsenal and even a laser tag set!
I have a blast connecting with kids and making them smile, and they sure seem to have fun with me too. Before pursuing the childcare field professionally, I was already the go-to "fun guide" for more kids than I can keep count of when taking friends and relatives to theme parks and other fun excursions. I also taught after-school magic classes, did before-and-after school transportation for friends and younger siblings of friends, and did occasional babysitting for neighbors. Upon making childcare positions a bigger part of my life, I pursued CPR and First Aid certifications, went through an extensive background check and fingerprinting to become Trust Line certified, and made a point of being known for rock-solid reliability. I've never canceled on a single childcare job, because I know how frustrating that can be for parents, and I take great pride in my solid reputation.
I own a reliable newer model car, so I have no trouble providing my own transportation, and am also able to transport multiple kids as well, with room to spare for backpacks or sports equipment. Besides in-home childcare opportunities, I'm also happy to take kids out for awesomely fun day trips and outings. Theme parks are my specialty, but of course I love all of the fun activities in Southern California, and am happy to take kids out when they're deserving of a super-awesome day that they'll be talking about for a long time to come. After graduating high school with a 4.67 GPA, homework help is a breeze for me, so I'm ready to take that on as well.
