Dear au pair,

We need a person who will make our life easier. We are looking for a helpful and pro-active person who is comfortable with kids and babies, organized, creative and resourceful. If you also like to cook for the family from time to time, it would be great.

We want to create a win-win relationship. Let's define the exact schedule together so we come to 30h per week. We want a schedule that works not only for us but also for you so you have time to discover Zurich and Switzerland.

We have 2 daughters: Margaux (3 years old) and Roxane (6 months old). We like to have fun, make jokes to each other. We are rather loud, cheerful and like adventures as far as it goes with 2 small children. Comfort is also very important when it comes to planning small and big adventures. We cook a lot of fresh and healthy things and are always happy to discover new recipes. While we like to have fun and can be loud during the day, we put a lot of emphasis on sleep quality: at 19h the kids are in bed and sleep through until 7h.
We speak French at home but my husband and I are also fluent in German and English

We live in a house with lots of light and our own garden. Your room has 3 windows and it's own balcony!

We live in a village outside of Zurich. Zurich center is reachable by bus within 15 minutes. You will receive a public transportation card that allows you to go to Zurich anytime during your stay. Our village gets a lot of sun compared to the city of Zurich.

Our families live in France and in the French part of Switzerland. On weekends we are often away visiting family and friends. But we also enjoy (and need) quiet weekends in between to rest from the week. We don't expect you to come with us everywhere we go on the weekend.

When you arrive, the girls will go to daycare 3 days a week and you will be in charge of them for 2 days a week: Wednesdays and Fridays. Working hours during the week would be something like: 2 full days per week + helping out in the morning & evenings on the other week days. On weekends we would like you to watch the girls 1-2 evenings per month so we can go out. Let's define the exact schedule together so we come to 30h per week. The family language is French. However, when you are alone with the kids, we would like you to speak either German or English with them.

Main tasks are:
- Taking care of the children on Wednesdays & Fridays + helping out in the morning & evening during the week. Let's define the exact schedule together so we come to 30h per week. We want a schedule that works not only for us but also for you so you have time to discover Zurich and Switzerland.
- Tidying the kitchen, play room and the children's rooms (we have a cleaning lady once a week)
- A bit of laundry
- A bit of cooking

Pocket money:

CHF 800 (no deduction) per month

This is on us:
- insurance
- phone plan
- public transportation to Zurich
- Half-price travel throughout Switzerland with the Half Fare Travelcard

A cleaning lady comes once a week to do the basic cleaning but not to tidy up. We expect your cooperation in cleaning up and doing laundry. Ideally you also like to cook and cook fresh and healthy meals for the whole family 1-2 per week.
