NB Spanish speaker preferred, but not essential
I live on my own and work full-time and quite intense hours. I have some chronic health issues that make it difficult to complete all the tasks in my home, and especially caring for my two wonderful dogs! I’m also in the process of doing IVF to become a single mom. So yes my hands are full :):). I’m used to being pretty self-sufficient, however I had a positive experience previously with live-in help.
I have two gorgeous, loving dogs medium size - one is a collie cross (Lottie) and one is a large Staffordshire bull terrier (Yoda). They are strong on the lead if they see a cat etc so they need someone who can manage in these situations. They are trained but not perfect! They love cuddles and attention but are also full of energy.
Tasks:
- 1-2 dog walk per day and up to 2 quick pee breaks (I live in an apartment).
- dog sitting for short periods
- helping wash and care for pups
- cleaning house: sweeping, mopping, dusting etc
- keeping kitchen clean and tidy
- changing bed sheets
- watering plants (not many!)
- groceries and running errands for the house
- some admin work of I need some tasks done, especially translating
- cooking and prepping healthy meals (discuss the cadence here as I like to cook for myself but often lack the time and energy)
You would have your own en-suite double bedroom located in a large apartment in a family area. The area is one of the most up-market in Malaga, 25 min walk to the city centre (quicker by bus), 8 minute walk to the beach, close to amenities and peaceful. The grounds have tennis courts (added bonus if you can teach me to play!), gardens and a large swimming pool.
You would be joining a family, albeit small and furry, and we would want the experience to be enjoyable on both sides. Hours can be fully customisable to other commitments, studies etc as long as a routine can be established and you are consistent and reliable, this would be a very flexible arrangement.
I don’t allow visitors when I am in my home unless with my permission beforehand. There is flexibility when I am out of the house or away, or you with to pre-arrange something.
I am (a very young) 39, originally from South Africa but lived many years in the UK. I’ve been in Spain for 1.5 years and my Spanish is dreadful still. I work in tech remotely in a global role, which does require travel, and therefore someone comfortable to be alone for a few days at a time.
I have a car and bicycle that could be made available for use.
