We are a loving anglo-french-taiwanese family of three living in the French countryside close to Bordeaux.

We are looking for someone to be a real part of the family.

We are interested in mindfulness and live next to world-famous Plum Village zen retreat center.

Our family is made of Rufus, Sylvie and Ateyan.

Ateyan is our son. He is 3 and half years old. He is happy and curious and loves new people. He enjoys playing with his digger, drawing, riding on the bicycle, reading, playing in the river and much more!

Sylvie is the mum and is an artist and designer. Rufus is the dad and is a technologist and social entrepreneur.

We are also work partners working on an initiative called Life Itself all about how we can work together to make a wiser, weller world.

# Our family
Our family is composed of Rufus, Sylvie and Ateyan.

Ateyan is our son. He is 3 and half years old. He is happy and curious and loves new people. He enjoys playing with his digger, drawing, riding on the bicycle, reading, playing in the river and much more!

We live in a luminous stone farmhouse complex with garden and lots of nature around.

You will have your own self-contained flat in the guest house

# Our location
We live where people go on holiday right in the heart of the Dordogne. We live in a beautiful old farmhouse complex 20m from Bergerac and Eymet and 1h from Bordeaux. We are surrounded by vineyards and beautiful medieval towns and close to the Dordogne river. We are 2h from the atlantic coast and also within a few hours of the mountains (pyrennees). The region offer a great setting for walks in nature, swimming in the river and kayaking and more.

# Our routine
Ateyan wakes up around 8am and he goes 2-3 days a week he goes to the nanny in the nearby town. he comes back around 5pm, we go have a walk in the nature and then he plays. We have dinner around 6h45pm. Then Ateyan has his bath, he plays a bit then we read him a story and he will be in bed by 8h30pm. During the weekend we might go do an outing in a nearby town or have a big long walk and when it is warmer we go for a swim in the Dordogne River.

# Our expectations
We are looking for someone who gives love and care to our child, likes living in a family spirit. We are looking for someone with relevant experience as we will need help in looking after Ateyan, cleaning around the house, cooking and doing the groceries.

You will have time off to visit the region, go to Bordeaux for a city outing etc.

# Pay
As well as covering all food and lodging we also provide a stipend of up to 800 euros a month depending on experience, ability and hours.

We offer use of a car and we have a townhouse nearby in Bergerac you can also stay in. In addition, Bergerac has direct flights to the UK, Paris and Portugal and Bordeaux is just over an hour away.

Your own space: you'll get your own mini-apartment including its own bedroom, kitchen and bathroom.

Great food (mainly vegetarian): we live in France in a great area for fresh food (and meat and seafood). We are vegetarian/vegan by default though we are very happy if you want to eat meat and fish. We generally cook for ourselves.

Mindfulness. If you are interested in mindfulness this could be an incredible opportunity. We practise mindfulness as a family and live next Plum Village one of the major centres of mindfulness in Europe with nearly 10,000 visitors a year from all over the world.
