I am Christina, a personal English tutor who has worked with this wonderful family for over 10 years, successfully organizing language exchanges and cultural experiences for them in the past. I am now seeking a dedicated native German and/or English speaker for the summer of 2026. This is an ideal opportunity for a university student taking a summer break who is looking for a rewarding international experience. Primary Goal: To help the family improve their sons' German/English language skills through immersion and everyday conversation during the summer months (July and August 2026).
This family would be very happy if you would be willing to help them continue to enrich their lives with the English/German language(s).

Task, schedule and pocket money
Role Requirements and Daily Support Core Requirement: Native German/English speaker (essential) to engage with the 13-year-old (and even with the older son) and practice the language daily through conversation and activities.
Light Support:
Providing occasional support for the 13-year-old's schedule and assisting with very light household tasks related to the children.
Cultural Exchange:
Sharing your culture, traditions, and perspective with our family.
The family's living situation
The family have their own house in the center of town. You would be provided with a comfortable private room and full board, inclusion in the family's travels; and an excellent opportunity to experience local culture.
The family
The family that I am helping to find an au pair for the summer of 2026 are a welcoming, active, and culturally engaged family based in Jindrichuv Hradec, southern Bohemia. They are looking for an enthusiastic and caring au pair to become part of their household. They are specifically seeking a German and/or English native speaker to support their sons' language studies! They value cultural exchange, education, and mutual respect.
About the Family and Home Life Parents:
The father runs his own company and travels frequently. The mother works in the company and coaches gymnastics in the afternoons.
Interests:
They are very open to exploring new things. They travel often, including regular cultural trips to Prague and international destinations.
The Children and Your Role Focus The Youngest (13 years old):
An active teenager who plays tennis and enjoys video games and friends. He is keenly studying German and English and needs a native speaker to reinforce his German/English skills through daily life.
The Oldest (19 years old):
A student focused on Business Academy and photography. He mainly seeks companionship and cultural exchange.

My experience with the Duba’s and Christina. As someone who has spent three summers with the family, I can confidently say you'll stay busy and entertained! The Dubas are active and involved, but also very flexible and easygoing. They put tremendous focus on making sure I was comfortable, giving me space when I needed it, and including me in family activities and outings. The best way to sum up my experience is that I felt like an older sibling more than anything else. Christina was also wonderful and so easy to talk to. I'll admit this was my first time traveling to Europe, and with that came some culture shock. Christina was incredibly supportive, she would meet with me regularly to check in and chat about anything and everything, which made such a difference. I attribute so much personal growth and so many happy memories to my time with this family. I can't recommend the experience enough!

Home to the magnificent Jind?ich?v Hradec Castle and Chateau, the third largest historical complex in the Czech Republic (after Prague and ?eský Krumlov).

The town's historic center is reflected in the waters of the large Vajgar Pond, creating a picturesque landscape.

You can explore the Regional Museum (home to the world's largest mechanical nativity scene), the National Museum of Photography (an interest shared by the older son!), and enjoy cultural life in the well-preserved old town square.
Active Life:
The town is in a scenic area known as the gateway to Czech Canada, offering great opportunities for hiking, biking, and outdoor activities. It even has local tennis courts and an Aquapark.

The town is well-connected and offers a historic narrow-gauge railway that runs through the charming local countryside.
