We are hoping to find someone who will fit into our family and build a close bond with our children. I (mom) am a full time nurse and dad is a millwright. Between mom’s shift work and dad’s on call schedule, we would love an au pair who can be adaptable. Our 11 year old will be in school full time, and our 5 year old will be in school every other day, most days will be with our 4 year old. We also use our local daycare so some days might just be getting older kids to school and dropping the youngest at daycare. There will also be days where picking up from daycare and getting kids fed supper, and caring for them until I get home from work will be required.
A bit about us: we are a loving family who likes to be outside in our yard. The kids love going to the park or running through the sprinkler in summer, or climbing the snow hills in the winter. We like movies and music. They love all toys and being outside as well!
I (mom) was an au pair 20 years ago and had a wonderful experience! I am still in touch with the family and I hope to build a strong bond between our family and au pair. The option to live in our home is available with your own room in the quiet basement, the bathroom downstairs would primarily be yours as well.
We do have a dog who is about 13 years old and a 2 year old dog who are housetrained and mainly indoors. But we won’t require you to provide care for them other than letting them outside a couple times a day if needed.

Getting 11 year old and 5 year old up and ready for school days when parents working. Caring for 4 year old, getting 4 year old to and from play school one day per week. Including, but not limited to: diaper changes/ potty training, preparing food and snacks, playing games, etc. Assisting 11 year old with homework when necessary (rare) and encouraging 11 year old to complete chores. Driving kids to and from activities if applicable.
