Dear Au Pair,

We hope this letter finds you well. We’re excited about the possibility of you joining our family and wanted to share a bit more about who we are and what we’re looking for in an au pair.

We are a family of five who value love, structure, and the joy of learning. My husband, Frank, and I are both dedicated small business owners, which means our work-life balance is a bit unconventional. We work full-time and are deeply committed to our business, so having an extra pair of hands and a caring heart around is incredibly important to us.

We have three wonderful children: Finn, our energetic 7-year-old son; Ryan, our imaginative 4-year-old daughter; and Cole, our sweet boy who just turned one. Each of them brings their own unique spark to our lives, and we’re looking for someone who will embrace them with warmth and enthusiasm.

Finn is going into 2nd grade and currently loves all things Legos, building and dinosaurs. He is very boisterous and we are working with him on being aware of his surroundings and adapting. He has big feelings and the biggest heart. We are going to start Ryan with some Pre-K learning this year. As the second child she craves doing things her own way and not just the way her older brother does it. We are helping her with personal boundaries and expressing herself in healthy ways. She loves to play dress up and will ask you to read 20 books a day. Cole is coming into his personality and is at the mobile stage. He’s not quite walking yet, but it’ll probably be any day now. He is FAST when crawling though and if you turn your back for a second he’ll be off to discover something new.

Our ideal au pair would help us provide a structured and nurturing environment for the kids. This includes assisting with their daily routines, participating in our homeschooling journey, and helping out around the house. We believe in creating a balanced and enriching experience for our children, so your role would involve not only childcare but also contributing to their educational and personal growth.

We understand that our work schedule may be different from the norm, but we strive to maintain a supportive and collaborative atmosphere at home. We value open communication and flexibility, and we want you to feel like a cherished part of our family.
