To our future au pair,

Come and join our team! We have a big family but do not want that scare you away. We work together as a team to divide and conquer. While we do have 4 kids, the time the au pair spends with all 4 children at once is limited.

We live in Tulsa Oklahoma. It is the middle of the country and easy to travel to different areas. It is very hot in the summer and we have the luxury of a wonderful backyard pool so we can cool off and enjoy the heat. The area has a lot to offer with museums, gardens and sports teams. We have large performance Arenas with frequent music asked that travel around the country. The area is affordable with a great au pair community.

Our children include William who will be 7 in December. He is very kind and thoughtful. He likes to follow the rules and be helpful. Thomas will be 5 in November. He is full of energy and needs firm boundaries. Abigail will be 3 in November. While she loves to wear dresses and play with dolls, she also will wrestle with her 2 older brothers. The baby Clara is 6 months old. She is so happy and easygoing.

The host parents have jobs requiring them to be "on-call ". They sometimes have night and weekend responsibilities. This is why we need an extra set of hands. We also have a full-time nanny who works 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. She is a true part of our family and has been with us for 3 years. She is part of the "team".

The Weldin's

The position with her family entails caring for 4 children. It is a split schedule, working mornings and late afternoons and evenings. The morning begins at 615 to 8:30 AM. It includes waking up with the older kids to get them ready for school, preparing breakfast and packing school lunches. The children can get dressed on their own. The afternoon begins at 2:30 PM. The older boys come home from school by 3:30 PM. Responsibilities at that time include unpacking backpacks and cleaning lunch boxes and beginning dinner preparation. Other evening responsibilities include assisting with bath time and bedtime. We do not require any assistance with the laundry. We do ask for help in tidying up the areas with the children play in their bedrooms.
