Thank you for your interest in becoming an Au Pair for our family. We are a family of four - host mom, host dad, and two children. We live in Summit, New Jersey, approximately one hour by train from New York City. Our town is located in the suburbs with a safe and clean neighborhood, clean air and full of trees.
We are looking for a Mandarin Chinese speaking Au Pair for our multilingual and multicultural family. Host mom is Japanese, host dad is Chinese, and the children are American. The family is trilingual in Japanese, Chinese, and English, and celebrates holidays and cultural traditions of all three countries.
We expect our Au Pair to be a caring, loving, responsible, and mature individual who is interested in teaching Chinese language and culture to our children. Au Pair will mainly take care of a two-year-old girl who goes to preschool in the mornings and comes home at noon. We require our Au Pair to be a strong driver, as her duties include driving children by car to and from school.
Au Pair will have opportunities to explore New York City and surrounding areas during the weekends. Our house is approximately 1.5 hrs by train from major attractions in Manhattan and about 20 minutes by taxi from the Newark International Airport that has direct flights to most major U.S. cities.
